Problem Statement

The customer, JM Baxi group wanted to undertake electrification of their RTG’s in three different locations simultaneously. The project entailed electrification of 13 RTG’s in three different locations –Kandla, Paradip and Visakhapatnam within a span of 6 months.

Challenges

While the project was underway, the war between Russia and Ukraine broke out. This impacted the project execution timelines and costs. The product prices grew drastically and the rising shipping costs added to cost and delay in delivery.

Solution

We managed to create engineering solutions that made the project viable and provide customer the desired results. Our timeline was stretched by two months, however, we managed to continue despite all the major odds. We customised a few solutions with Indian parts and some machines were airlifted from Italy to ensure an optimum solution for the client.
