Vertical Machining centers

Vertical Machining centers (VMC) also known as milling center, is a system where rotary cutters are used to remove metal from a work piece. Milling employs a vertically oriented spindle that can hold tools pointing down to cut across the top of the workpiece.

Horizontal Machining Center

Horizontal Machining Center (HMC) also known as milling is a system that employs rotary cutters to remove metal from a workpiece. In this a horizontally oriented spindle holds tools parallel to the ground and is used to cut across the side of a workpiece.

Turning Centers

Turning is commonly performed with a lathe in which the diameter of the workpiece is changed. It is used to produce cylindrical parts in which a cutting tool moves in a linear fashion. These can also perform a variety of milling and drilling operations. A turning center is a lathe with a CNC.

Surface and Cylindrical Grinding machines

These are two common grinding techniques used in precision machining. Cylindrical grinding cuts a round while surface grinding cuts a flat. In surface grinding, an abrasive wheel rotates on a spindle and cuts above the material to produce the desired surface finish with high tolerance. In a cylindrical grinding machine, it grinds the outer and inner diameters.

Apart from the extensive range of machinery, Electroflex Engineering has also invested in industry standard software like Powermill. Powermill is a leading 3 axis machining software.

Planning and Execution

Planning is an important part of Electroflex Engineering’s overall production approach. We have custom-built software for planning and reducing blind spots. It helps us with accurate forecasting and improves overall delivery and quality.

Shop Floor

Currently, we have a shop floor with a built-up capacity of 8000 sq.ft that can be easily scaled up to 40000 sq.ft. as the company owns the land and is available for future development. Electroflex Engineering has always been a forward looking company and we plan to include machine learning to improve planning and capacity utilization.

People

Electroflex Engineering has a strong team of 40 skilled employees. The mid management team has a cumulative experience of nearly 70 years. We believe in upskilling and developing the team and hence training forms a big part of our operations. We educate our team in the latest technologies and have a good mix of senior and young recruits. Our attrition rate is less than 10% and this speaks volumes about our work culture.

Our team for the Port business is highly skilled in the area. Our technical director’s expertise lies in electronics and electrical assemblies while our sales director has built businesses from ground up in his work experience spanning over two decades. Both our directors have a strong experience in working across geographies and leading intercontinental teams.

Our execution team’s expertize lies in erection and commissioning of heavy engineering systems – both mechanical and electrical. They have a strong portfolio of working across India and across industries like the port, steel and automotive industry.
