CNC machined parts can be improved with coatings to improve hardness, lubricity and even corrosion resistance.
Surface treatment process can usually be removal of substances from the part or additive process of applying a specific coating to protect or improve the life of the part. Today, almost every industry requires surface treatment for their CNC machined and VMC machined parts. Broadly, there are 5 categories under which surface treatment process can be divided, namely:
